Taylor, who lives with his long-time partner, has encouraged his collection to discuss his sexual orientation publicly So far only one family has quit the ecclesiastical body in protest. Taylor told The Seattle Times he came gone out years ago, when God told him, "You're doing to yourself what they're trying to do to you--denying that you're made in the image of God"
