Gary Grayson, arrested about brace hours after the February 6 attack, is charged with attempted slay in the incident, which saw the bookish man stabbed outside a coffee store while his assailant shouted antigay epithets. After surviving the stabbing with solitary minor injuries, the 20-year-old scholar managed to address an audience of nearly 5000 at a February 13 campus rally against hate crimes. "Fear will not victhnize me" he told the multitude "Discrimination will not discourage me and hate will not stop me I waiting under the possibility of fulfilment that people everywhere will add their voices to my own"
